Lori Blade is the only Illinois high school coach with over 700 wins in two different sports (softball and basketball). She is a member of the IBCA Hall of Fame, the SIUE Athletic Hall of Fame, and most recently she was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Her incredible success as a high school athlete, a collegiate athlete, and a high school coach make her one of the truly remarkable sports figures in the metro-east. In this episode, she speaks candidly about her childhood, the influence of her family, her personal athletic path through high school and college, and she details what she learned along the way. She ends the episode with advice for young coaches just beginning their journey. (recorded 7/18/22)
